Rick is Executive Chair of Bath based Claritum. An Intelligent Cloud eProcument service. He is in the process of transforming the business from top to bottom into a world leading business, most recently acquiring the World’s largest Bank as a customer and over a twelve-month period overseeing a doubling in size of the companies recurring revenues.

Rick's experience

Professor Richard Hillum is an experienced Chief Executive and Chair with a track record of super-charging disruptive and entrepreneurial technology businesses in the Southwest. He has demonstrable experience with growing and restructuring organisations, formation of new businesses, delivery of super high growth in SMEs and corporate multinationals. From the formulation of business and sales strategies through to focused marketing & PR campaigns. Also, and of paramount importance, he has been able to replicate success with substantial fundraising to develop these businesses. Rick is a relationship builder, and compassionate people person, who establishes high-performance teams with significant depth of transferable skills. Building and developing teams that have continued to perform and thrive after his departure.

Rick is Chair of University of Bath Advisory Board and of Bath Engineering Dragons Den events.  He is a visiting Professor at University Bath, University of Bristol and Honouree Senior Research Fellow at University of Birmingham. A past advisory Board member of Universities of Bristol and Bradford and has previously won awards for his businesses for innovation, excellence and growth.

Rick has been a long-term supporter and member of the Bath Innovation Centre and SETSquared business accelerator and a past judge on Bath MBA panel. He has participated in many young people and student mentor events.
