Management

Claritum is a privately owned company, based in Bath, UK and has offices in California, USA; Sydney, Australia and Dusseldorf, Germany. The company was founded by James Samuels and Paul Barker in 2002. The management team combines significant international experience in growing technology based service businesses in the UK, Europe and North America. 

 

Ian MacKenzie, Chairman

Ian has a considerable track record in growing service based technology businesses in the UK and US. Ian’s management experience includes Ingersoll Rand, Land Rover, AT&T Istel, BIS Information Systems and Tarmac. He led an MBO of Cimage, a multinational software business, where he was President of the US operation and responsible for M&A. Ian sold Cimage to a French IT company with a successful exit for shareholders. Ian leads the board in achieving its objectives.

 

James Samuels, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

James has 20 years EMEA marketing experience in the automotive and technology sectors for enterprises such as VAG, Peugeot, Intel and HP. His experience in managing major international spends highlighted the need for marketing automation tools to address the needs of both procurement and marketing functions. This was the catalyst for founding Claritum. James has responsibility for driving the company strategy and leads the new business team.

 

Mike Bramwell, Chief Operating Officer

Mike has extensive experience in creating and managing customer-centric business operations for leading international enterprise, consulting and technology businesses. His background includes senior procurement, supply chain and consulting roles in the UK, US, France and Sweden with Guilbert-Ofrex, Proudfoot Consulting, Kingfisher Retail Group, Manugistics, JDA Software, Marrakech and Ketera. At Claritum, Mike heads up the professional services, delivery and support teams.

 

Paul Barker, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer

Paul has over 25 years experience in commercial software development and IT. He has a track record in efficiently developing successful software and SaaS products for Sherston Software, Oxford University Press, DERA, BT, Smith & Nephew and KP-McVities. During his time at Sherston, Paul was responsible for bringing over 75 software titles to market on time and on budget. Paul is responsible for Claritum’s infrastructure, R&D and engineering capabilities.
